About AASP

The Arizona Association of School Psychologists started on April 6, 1968 during a meeting at the Sands Motor Hotel in Phoenix. The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) was established one year later on March 14, 1969. On May 1, 1971, AASP was recognized as an affiliate of NASP. AASP was incorporated in 1975.

Today, AASP has over 400 members and continues to be registered as a Nonprofit Corporation in Arizona. We continue to serve as the professional association for school psychologists in Arizona and we are still a state affiliate of NASP.
